Conservation and Management
Conservation can be defined as the prudent use of natural resources including – but not limited to - water, plants and animals. Successful conservation occurs when humans act wisely, planning action (or non-action) in the best interest of the environment.
On the Yukon’s North Slope, conservation is a way of life, passed down by the traditional people of the land who have always known its intrinsic value. Through sound management and practices, we strive to conserve the wonder of this special place.
